"Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth."  ~ Hosea 6:3

Hosea was called into a very difficult situation. God’s people were unfaithful and Hosea was to call them to repentance. Yet in the midst of Israel’s spiritual adultery there come words of hope. When God’s people turn and acknowledge the Lord, He will come to us! Let every sunrise remind you that no matter how unfaithful you have been to God, if you are willing to acknowledge Him, He will come to you. Let every rain remind you of His faithfulness!

But the king of Egypt said, “Moses and Aaron, why are you taking the people away from their labor? Get back to your work!” Then Pharaoh said, “Look, the people of the land are now numerous, and you are stopping them from working.”  ~ Exodus 5:4-5

There has always been a pattern of God calling his people out of their normal rhythms to take time to worship Him. Even in this famous story of when Moses confronted the Pharaoh of Egypt, the main thing that God wanted was for his people to cease from their labor, come aside and worship Him. This pattern offends those who see work as a way toward power. Work is a good thing, but the Sabbath is a weekly reminder that God wants to deliver us from our false identities of power and bring us back to Himself.

"For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins."  ~Matthew 6:14-15

As we remember the events that occurred on 9/11, we do well to also remember our obligation as Christians to forgive those who have sinned against us. Can we, as the people of God, forgive those who attacked us? To forgive those who we agree with is nothing extraordinary, but to forgive those with whom we have differences displays the nature of God. When we rebelled against God’s rule, He sent His Son to forgive us. Now, as those who owe a debt to God that we cannot pay, we are obligated to extend the same mercy to others. Forgiveness proclaims that justice belongs to God and therefore frees us to call upon his mercy for ourselves.

Editorial Comment: Washington Times Columnist Calls For Obama Impeachment

Published by Jimmy Olsun, NDRIRSRWRAFTC & Editor

Date:  9/10/2010

Washington Times columnist, Jeffrey T. Kuhner, makes a compelling case for the impeachment of President Barack H. Obama in his July 22nd column entitled "President's socialist takeover must be stopped".  You can read the entire article by clicking on:  http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/jul/22/the-case-for-impeachment-142967590/

The editorial board of Hermann Hearsay recommends that you read Kuhner's case for impeachment.  Whether or not a case can and will be mounted for impeachment of the President, we believe Obama must be stopped at the polls ..... in the upcoming mid-term election this November and ultimately in the presidential election of 2012.

Nikon Coolpix L22 Digital Camera

Date:  9/10/2010

Hermann Hearsay is investing in the future!  Today HH announced that we have made a major capital purchase of new photograpic equipment.  We are upgrading from our Nokia camera phone to a brand new Nikon Coolpix L22 digital camera.  HH purchased the new camera, carrying case, flash memory card and lithium batteries from Granneman's Radio Shack Store located on Market Street in Hermann.

Hermann Hearsay owner, Truman T. Tiger, said ... "We believe in purchasng locally whenever we can.  Others may drive to Washington, Warrenton, Columbia or St. Louis to make major purchases while giving our local businesses nothing but the "small crumbs" of their purchasing dollars.  Our media market is local, and we will always support our local businesses by buying from them whenever we can."

Frank Furter, our IT guy, is reading the Nikon owner's manual and reviewing the DVD which came with it.  After Frank learns how to operate the camera, he will train Lois Lame, Dick Schaefer and me.  We are all eager to get our hands on the new camera!

Hi folks! This is Frank Furter. I've been asked to take over the weekend weather reporting from Charlie Farquharson. It turns out that Hermann Hearsay can no longer afford Charlie, so I've been asked to give weather forecasting a shot. Apparently I work a lot cheaper than Charlie ...... and well, they're already payin' me to do some other stuff anyway!  This is my second weekend weather report.  I'm startin' to get the hang of it!

The Watkins Weekend Weather Report is now sponsored by local Watkins Independent Associate Dick Schaefer (#378589). Dick doesn't actually pay us cash money for sponsoring the weather report. Instead he supplies us with Watkins cleaning products for the office. These are the products I use everyday when I clean our office and wash the windows. You see, I'm also the custodian here at Hermann Hearsay.

Please support Dick by buying his high quality Watkins products made from "all natural ingredients".

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. – James 3:13

In an age of celebrity we can mistake wisdom and understanding as dynamic speaking or well packaged products and events. That’s not the way that James sees wisdom. James is always after how our core beliefs show up in our deeds. Is there a humility that marks our life or have we jumped on the bandwagon of self-branding for the sake of promotion? What would people say if they could look past our Facebook image and see our life? This is where God looks and it’s where we need to pay attention as well.
