I recently received an alarming email from a friend in Colorado.  My friend follows national politics and national policy formation very closely.  In his email, he referred me to a letter which had been disseminated by a political group called the Republican Majority Campaign of Rancho Cucamonga, California on February 1, 2011.

I am currently searching the internet for other articles which can provide further corroborating information on this subject matter which is of great concern to me.  I am sure that a number of our readers will also be concerned about the information provided in this letter.  If you happen to come across any information on this subject, I would appreciate it if you could refer me to it.

Here is the text of the email letter disseminated by the Republican Majority Campaign ......

Dear Patriot,

NOTE: This newsletter concerns a matter of vital national interest and is for educational purposes only. This is not a fundraising effort on our part! You must read this information to intelligently assess the grave risk to our freedoms now being implemented by Obama.

Today I write to you about a very, very important issue – Obama’s continuing efforts to control our daily life and impose his will upon us, this time by controlling our internet access.

We interrupt normal programming and Super Bowl Sunday to report our official snowflake casualty count!  According to the computer model my associates at Mizzou's Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department and I have developed for Hermann Hearsay "Spring Thaw Central", we have lost the following grand total number of snowflakes in the Hermann city limits since this week's spring thaw first began:

3,254,786,213,897 * snowflakes

* As of 2:50 p.m. CST,  + or - 351 snowflakes.

The outside temperature in Hermann is currently 40 F.  We expect to take many more snowflake casualties during the next 24 hours.

Hermann Hearsay "Spring Thaw Central" ..... the ONLY local online "news" site with the cutting-edge technology to accurately account for snowflake casualties!

Editorial Comment: "Spring Thaw Central"

We don't like being last!  We don't even like being second place!  We want to be #1 in everything we do!

That's why I pulled our staff together yesterday to discuss our coverage of recent winter storms and especially this past week's blizzard.  Another online "news" outfit has layed claim to the title of  "Snow Central" ..... and ya know what?  Maybe they are right!  Maybe we didn't put forth enough effort to claim that mantle!  Afterall, we didn't recommend the best snow route to Berger, we didn't cover school closings with a posting for each and every school in the area, and we didn't organize a cadre of young snow shovelers and then dispatch them as a public service to clean the driveways and walkways of the elderly.  In too many ways, we were remiss in our duty to cover our recent snow events.

However, we have now taken stock of our shortcomings.  We have discussed all the things we could have done .... and should have done.  We have searched our souls and resolved to do better in the future.

My staff members and I have resolved that we want to become known as "Spring Thaw Central" here at Hermann Hearsay.  In the pursuit of that lofty objective, we have put together a comprehensive
action plan.  We have decided to split up responsibilities as follows;

Jimmy Oldsun - Announcements, shameless self-promotion and overall coordination of the program.
Lois Lame - Organizing and dispatching young people to wash the cinders and salt off the vehicles of Hermann's senior citizens.
Dick Schaefer - Organizing and dispatching unemployed volunteers to sweep and wash the driveways and walkways of Hermann's senior citizens.  What is Southern District Associate Commissioner Jerry Lairmore doing for our unemployed?!
Frank Furter - Weather reporting, flood patrol, high-water reporting and road advisories (including an advisory on the safest route to Berger during heavy flood conditions).
Clark Kant - Special reports regarding the availability of bird feeders, garden tools, spring flowers, lawn fertilizers and lawn mowers at Hermann's stores.

Hermann Hearsay is indeed "Spring Thaw Central"!

"Today Al Gore blamed the current snow storms on global warming. Al Gore said, 'a rise in global temperature creates havoc ranging from hotter dry spells to colder winters, increasing violent storms, flooding, forest fires and loss of endangered species.' And finally Tipper said, 'Al will you just pay the kid for shoveling the walk, please.'"  ~ Jay Leno (2/2/2011)

"We shall continue to work for a Middle East that is free of strife and violence, living in harmony without the threat of terrorism or the dangers of weapons of mass destruction."  ~ Hosni Mubarak, President of Egypt

Commentary:
Mubarak was a friend and ally of the United States of America for three decades.  Too bad he didn't concern himself with government reforms that would have increased the liberties and prosperity of the Egyptian people.  Too bad our own government was unable to persuade him institute democratic reforms which the Egyptian people are now demanding.

Bible Verse Of The Day - Sunday, 2/6/2011

The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them. – Genesis 3:21

When Adam and Eve fell in their rebellion to God, they knew that they were naked and covered themselves with figs. Since that time we constantly try to cover our lives in our own ways. But this is not sufficient. Notice that God provided the clothing that they needed for a fallen earth, but it came at a cost. The garments of skins imply that death occurred to cover the weakness of Adam and Eve. This is the first foreshadowing of the death that would cover the rebellion of mankind, when Jesus Christ gave Himself on the cross for us. God’s grace has been here since the beginning.
