Rainy Start To Shelbyfest

Published by Lois Lame, Advertising, Subscriber Services and Lifestyle Reporting

The rain began falling at around 5:15 p.m. on Friday evening in Hermann.  It looks like the Shelbyfest and the opening night concert is in jeopardy.  There will likely be a lot of "blue eyes crying in the rain"!  Sing it Willie!

Washington, A Possible TTTNN Expansion City

Published by Jimmy Oldsun, NDRIRSRWRAFTC & Editor

I rode along with Clark Kant down to Washington, Missouri on Wednesday and Thursday to look into the feasibility of expanding our online news service there.  We spent most of our time in the downtown area where we are looking into office space.  We also visited coffee shops, bars and restaurants where we talked to local residents of Washington.  Most seemed receptive to the idea of having their very own online news service.  We stayed at the Sleep Inn out on East Fifth Street.  A very nice, clean hotel with lots of amenities.  The management and staff at the Sleep Inn are very customer oriented.  Jacob Grimes is the hotel manager.  If you stay there, tell him that Jimmy sent you!

We have a decision to make.  Do we expand into Owensville on the south end of Gasconade County?  Or do we expand into Washington on the north end of Franklin County?  If you have any thoughts on this subject, please drop us a comment.
