Hermann Hearsay has decided to endorse whoever files against Brian Chorley for Ward 2 alderman in Hermann.  The filing deadline is January 18.  We are hopeful that some qualified resident of Ward 2 will step forward and offer their service before the filing deadline.

After close consultation with several Hermann residents whose judgment we trust, we feel we cannot endorse the incumbent.

  1. That's Great! I will gladly debate any candidate you can find to run against me. I think unopposed elections should never happen. The only request I have is that you don't run a cartoon character against me!
    Thanks!

  3. Brian do you plan on witholding important information from the people of Hermann? Your record shows that you and your partner at CNL continue doing just that. Why did you keep the auditors report from the citizens of Gasconade County? Cletus

  4. LOL- "Cletus," Since when is CNL the holder of public records???? Has any other media outlet published the auditor's report? If not, why don't you criticize them as hard as you go after CNL?
Anyone can go online and read it if they want to.

  6. Thanks Brian for your reply.Your first comment is since when is CNL the holder of public records? If they set at the table with commissioners and print the weekly reports when it suits their needs I'd say they're trying to be just that. Next has anyone published the auditor's report? Yes the Hermann AC did about two weeks after the election. I'll get the correct date when the office opens Monday. Yes anyone can go online if they know about it.I've heard you have been making comments online that you want the Hermann AC to go out of business. Is this true? If not please direct me to the correct website so I can see the truth. I hope an alderman from Hermann isn't wanting a long time business to go away. LOL LYLT

  7. Mr. Chorley,

In your January 7th comment, you asked which publications reported on the recent state audit report on Gasconade County. Answer: The Hermann Advertiser-Courier and Hermann Hearsay. I don't recall if HermannMoNews provided a link. You can ask Poor Richard 2011. I know that CNL didn't? Why? You and Jeff Noedel report every profound utterance of Jerry Lairmare, but won't report anything negative about county performance.

Anyone can go to other websites like www.case.net and read some pretty interesting stuff there too. Has CNL reported on this? Why not? Guess Hermann Hearsay will need to break that story too!

Bye, bye! Don't think you'll be back!

    Sincerely,

  10. Thanks Anonymous!

So now we have established that the state audit of Gasconade County was covered by The Hermann Advertiser-Courier, Hermann Hearsay AND HermannMoNews. But it was NOT covered by CNL. Again, I ask why not?

Mr. Chorley, what subject would you like to debate next?

  11. Patrick Layton Paulsen, a national candidate in the 60's, has retired to Hermann and has filed for Ward 2 Alderman in Hermann. Paulsen filed late Friday afternoon. Mr. Paulsen will be making a statement on Monday afternoon. Hermann Hearsay will cover this as an EXCLUSIVE on Monday evening at around 5 p.m.

  12. Thanks for the link to casenet.com. I put in a search of all the movers and shakers from both ends of the county and really had lots to read. I'm glad to be called a burnout or oddball,it's better than a deadbeat or crook! Martin

  13. It seems that Mr. Chorley has decided to go debate a fence post somewhere. I am sure he will spin it as a tremendous win!

  14. Jimmy as soon as you posted this article he was on this in minutes like they're using a tracker. It's like I've said many times facts make them go away. I wonder why the Madman hasn't threaten you and started the name calling? That might be a good story to list all the threats against you and others.
