And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel. – Genesis 3:15
The significance of a child being born from a virgin cannot escape us as we see this passage in Genesis. From the very beginning we see a battle set between this offspring of a woman and Satan. Though Christ was struck in the heel at Calvary, he crushed the head of the power of sin and death at the resurrection. Now Jesus Christ sits at the right hand of God the Father, extending his victory to all who will believe in the power his resurrection. The babe in the manger was born to conquer his ancient adversary. Thanks be to God for his matchless plan that has gripped you and me today!
