Response to "Gangsta Hanksta"

Hank Vonk aka Luckyrider aka "Gangsta Hanksta" decided to "rip" on me and my friends in his most recent CNL 'Forum' article entitled "Last Commission Meeting & Is Matt Penning a Gangsta Rapper???"  This article first appeared on Monday, 8/1.  I'm not sure why Jeff Noedel of CNL allows this kind of trash on his "news" website ..... but he does.  Maybe it generates traffic for him?!

Now it's my turn to "rip back" .....
  1. Those individuals whom "Gangsta Hanksta" and Jeff Noedel (because he published it) have "smeared" in the aforementioned CNL 'Forum' article, i.e. Matt Penning, John Penning, Mike Jacquin and me, may be called many things, but "Gangster Rappers" we are not!  Our musical tastes range from the Big Band sound of Glenn Miller and Tommy Dorsey to 50's and 60's Classic Rock.  'Gangsta Rap' may be the music of choice for Mr. Vonk, but it is certainly not ours!
  2. "Gangsta Hanksta" also accuses John Penning, Mike Jacquin and me of being members of Matt Penning's POSSE.  Well Hanksta, all I can say is that I haven't been issued a deputy's badge, and I haven't been duly sworn.  I'm pretty sure this is also the case for John Penning and Mike Jacquin too.  Now if you don't believe me, Hanksta, why don't you call John and Mike and conduct a telephone interview with them? They're waiting for your call!
  3. As for our attendance at county meetings, I wonder why the Hanksta doesn't praise us for "getting involved" in the deliberations of government rather than publicly condemning us as he does?  The Hanksta usually preaches that citizens should get involved and participate in the democratic process.  But when it comes to "certain people", the Hanksta would prefer that we/they just stay at home and play checkers.  Interesting don't ya think?!  What gives there?  Whose water is the Hanksta carrying?  Are he and his puppet master(s) trying to discourage and coerce us from attending the public meetings of our own county government?  Why?  If he is, that's un-American!
  4. The Hanksta makes brief reference to Kyle Lairmore's attendance at county commission meetings, but the Hanksta doesn't label him a "Gangsta Rapper" along with the rest of us, nor does he tell you about "little" Lairmore's completely inappropriate behaviors at past commission meetings.  No, not a word is written about "little" Lairmore chest-bumping Dan Penning immediately after a commission meeting at the courthouse.  Not a word about him calling me a "dickhead" during a commission meeting at the courthouse.  Not a word about "little" Lairmore intimidating and warning Sharon Meyer and Sandra Lackman immediately after a county commission meeting in Owensville that they "had better watch their backs".  Not a word about the false complaint which "little" Lairmore filed against Matt Penning with The Missouri Ethics Commission.   Hanksta, if you wanna write another 'Forum' article for CNL (that is if you haven't been fired after writing your 8/1 smear piece), why don't you write a piece entitled 'The Jerry Lairmore & Son Cuss Word Thesaurus and Intimidation Tactic Manual'?!
  5. The Hanksta goes on to praise Presiding Commissioner Ron Jost for ejecting John Penning from the 7/29 commission meeting and offer excuses for Southern District Associate Commissioner Jerry Lairmore's bullying and berating of Matt Penning during the 7/22 road department meeting.  Well, that's the Hanksta and CNL for you!  Always carrying the water for Jost and Lairmore!  Even when it's completely indefensible!
The Hanksta's 'Forum' article has thus far drawn one (1) comment ...... and that comment has been from the Hanksta himself!  Thanks for sending your readers over to Hermann Hearsay, Hanksta!  If you keep writing smear pieces like this one and if Jeff Noedel keeps publishing them on his "news" website, neither one of you will be left with any credibility ..... nor readers!

Hermann Hearsay Projects Win By Larry Miskel

Based upon the results of exit polling conducted at key voting locations throughout the county, Hermann Hearsay is now able to project Larry Miskel as the winner in the Republican primary for Presiding Commissioner.  Other news media will report the actual voting results later tonight and tomorrow, but Hermann Hearsay is the first to project Miskel as the winner in this hotly contested county-wide race.

UPDATE:  The final count is in.  The County Clerk's office is indicating a narrow win by Ron Jost.  As it stands at 1:55 a.m. Wednesday, 8/4, Jost has won a third term by the narrowest of margins .... barely 16 votes.  Had only 8 of Jost's vote gone the other way, we would have had a tie.  Our exit polling data based upon a small sampling at several key voting locations predict a narrow win by Miskel.  Our statisticians are going back to check our sampling responses and our calculations.  The actual final results do not "square" with our exit polling data.
