This description of the church helps us understand our identity in Christ. When we refer to a walk with Christ, do we see that walk as singular or plural? For most of us in Western culture, we view our spirituality in individualistic terms. But the Scripture challenges that view. We can’t do it without the rest of the body. To walk with Christ is to value a community. Have you found your part in that community?

The Missouri Tigers (17-3) made easy work of the Iowa State Cyclones (14-6) defeating them last night at Mizzou Arena by a score of 87-54.  Missouri is now 3-2 in Big 12 conference play.  The Tigers face a tough Texas Longhorn team next Saturday in Austin.

One of the attributes of God’s word is that it is imperishable, that is, it cannot be destroyed. People may criticize the Scripture. They may react violently to what is written in the Bible. But they can’t get rid of it. Even if people turn away from the ways of God, the seed of God’s truth in their heart can’t be uprooted. For those who have family or friends who have heard the Scripture but have walked away, take courage. The very nature of God’s word is embedded in their soul as a reminder (and an oasis) of His faithfulness.

Why did the chicken cross the road?

GLENN BECK: The road was obviously taking a turn towards socialism and the chicken crossed it in an effort to return to the principles set forth by our Founding Fathers.

SARAH PALIN : The chicken crossed the road because gosh- darn it, he's a maverick!

BARACK OBAMA : Listen to me, the chicken crossed the road because it was time for change! To be clear, the chicken wanted change! Look, the chicken was ready for a change.

JOHN MC CAIN : My friends, that chicken crossed the road because he recognized the need to engage in cooperation and dialogue with all the chickens on the other side of the road .

HILLARY CLINTON : When I was First Lady , I personally helped that little chicken to cross the road. This experience makes me uniquely qualified to ensure right from Day One that every chicken in this country gets the chance it deserves to cross the road. But then, this really isn't about me.

GEORGE W. BUSH : We don't really care why the chicken crossed the road. We just want to know if the chicken is on our side of the road, or not. The chicken is either against us, or for us. There is no middle ground here.

DICK CHENEY : Where's my gun?

COLIN POWELL : Now to the left of the screen, you can clearly see the satellite image of the chicken crossing the road.

BILL CLINTON : I did not cross the road with that chicken. What is your definition of chicken?

NANCY GRACE : That chicken crossed the road because he's guilty! You can see it in his eyes and the way he walks.

MARTHA STEWART : No one called me to warn me which way that chicken was going. I had a standing order at the Farmer's Market to sell my eggs when the price dropped to a certain level. No little bird gave me any insider information.
