Editorial Comment: A Message From The Editor To Our 'Anonymous' Commenters

From time to time we receive comments which are sent to us by individuals who choose to identify themselves as 'Anonymous'.  We want to make sure our readers understand that they may use their real name or a username when commenting.  We would prefer that commenters identify themselves so that our readers and our staff will know who is providing a comment and who is returning to offer multiple comments.  Of course, if anyone wants to wimp out and comment 'anonymously', we will go ahead and publish their comments as long as they do not violate our high standards of decency. 

Let me remind all our readers that our comment standards are as follows:

"Your opinions and viewpoints are always welcome here. They will be published in their entirety. We ask that you refrain from using profane language, that you respect the opinions and viewpoints of others and that you report plausible hearsay only."

If you attack our reporters or our readers, please attack the positions they express in their articles or comments and NOT their personal character.  For if you do attack their personal character, you will have me to deal with.  And I do not suffer fools lightly!

When you write your comments, always remember the words of Patrick J. Buchanan:

"Personal attack is the final refuge of an exhausted mind."
