Bible Verse Of The Day - Tuesday, 9/14/2010

Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. ~ Hebrews 9:27-28
The writer is making a powerful point: Christ died once for all sin! That means that Christ died for every sin that you committed in the past, the ones that you will commit today, and the ones that you have yet to commit. That’s good news! The power of the cross is enough to meet you whenever you turn to God. The Holy Spirit has been sent to convict you of sin and the cross is powerful enough to cleanse you of sin. Christ’s death was once for all so that you and I can face the judgment day with hope.
