BREAKING NEWS - GCCS Schedules Meeting For Thursday Evening

Published by Jimmy Oldsun, NDRIRSRWRAFTC & Editor

Hermann Hearsay learned at 1 p.m. today that the GCCS (Gasconade County Courthouse Society) is calling a meeting at the Gasconade County Courthouse for this Thursday evening, 5/27.  It was unclear when we learned about it what time the meeting would start, and it was unclear whether this would be a meeting of the Board of Directors or a meeting of the General Membership.  Our source was also unclear who called the meeting.  We understand that Jon Held, former Vice-President and acting President had resigned his position on the Board of Directors some time ago, so we presume that Mr. Held has not called the meeting.  This information was provided to us by one of our sources.  He prefers to remain anonymous.

We called one of Hermann Hearsay's Premium Subscribers who also happens to be a member of the GCCS to see what he might know about the meeting.  Dick Schaefer told us around 2:30 p.m. this afternoon that he had not received notification of the meeting either by cell phone or by email.  As a member, Mr. Schaefer provided his contact information last year when he became a member.

We also attempted to contact Glenn Warnebold, GCCS Treasurer.  We left a message at Oak Glenn Winery, but Glenn has not returned our call as of this report.  We then contacted Sharon Meyer, GCCS Secretary.  Sharon confirmed to us that there will in fact be a Board of Directors meeting at 7 p.m. this Thursday.  The meeting will be conducted in the 2nd floor courtroom and all members are welcome to attend.  Agenda topics are the filling of two vacancies on the board and planning for the 2010 General Membership Meeting.  Sharon also confirmed to us that this will be the first meeting of the GCCS since August of 2009.

Hermann Hearsay will be in attendance Thursday night and will report the outcomes of the meeting on Friday.

UPDATE!  We appreciate that Glenn called back at 7:30 p.m. this evening and confirmed that the meeting is a GCCS Board of Directors meeting at 7 p.m. in the Gasconade County Courthouse.  He confirmed that GCCS members and members of the media are not prohibited from attending the meeting.

  1. What a joke! The GCCS hasn't met or accomplished anything in nearly a year! Dissolve the organization and begin over with a group of people committed to doing something!

Will Glenn Warnebold be reading a "new" resolution before the GCCS folks on Thursday? I plan on attending just to see!

Sounds like a top secret meeting. Maybe this investigation will be conducted by inspector Clouseau to see what hidden agenda Glen W. is trying to do behind everyones back. Seem to be more a a pattern for him. Is he going to crown himself King? Sounds Berry Smelly to me. Jimmy watch your back side, there others with hidden agendas looking at your backside! Keep shouveling1

What are they getting done? NOTHING! Dissolve the GCCS and start all over with people who are ready to roll up their sleeves and get to work! Fire Presiding Commissioner Ron Jost in the Republican primary in order to get competent visionary leadership for the county!

  5. Maybe Mr. Schaefer or Jimmy can find out who stopped the cleanup and demolition of the buildings by the courthouse. Was it Glen? If not who is in charge? With a few volunteers this could be finished and the road could be put in. Didn't Larimore say this was a safety issue? We all know who's stopping any progress, but you wouldn't think the GCCS is doing it too! Cletus
