He who works his land will have abundant food, but the one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty. – Proverbs 28:19
We live in a culture that sows the seeds of fantasy. We watch “reality shows” (I question how real they are) where young adults are placed in homes and situations that they normally can’t afford. We watch and criticize their antics, but we also allow seeds to be planted in our hearts – we want to live in those homes; we want to have the money to be in those situations. And we don’t understand why we have become disgruntled with our current job and living situations. Guard your heart, for God has given you that job and surrounding. To learn to work the land that you have will reap much greater rewards than chasing media fantasies funded by corporate money.
