TAXING GOLD IN THE NAME OF HEALTHCARE:  "Obama's healthcare legislation contains deviousness that has become all too common in Washington. What was sold to the American people as health care reform legislation includes a provision that would more heavily regulate and tax gold coin and bullion transactions. Whether gold and bullion transactions should or should not be more heavily regulated and taxed is not the issue. The administration's devious inclusion of it as a part of health care reform is." -- economist and syndicated columnist Walter Williams, in his Dec. 15 2010 column.

  1. Yes, I believe, the provision includes a requirement on sales of gold of $600 or more must be documented, 1099, for tax purposes.

Pretty slick, the whole heath-care law is a mess and needs to be repealed.

I have read it but not memorized it!
