At noon on Tuesday, 2/1/2012, the snow continues to fall and fall and fall. Our trained Storm Team spotters have taken refuge indoors where they could.  It has been bitterly cold here in Hermann, and I am concerned that Charlie and Winston may have succumbed to frostbite.  They have both exhausted their supplies of brandy and Hershey's candy bars.  Their cellphone batteries have gone completely dead.  Being trained weather spotters, however, I am not overly worried.  They are both resourceful and will probably show up later.

Conditions in Hermann:  Snowing steadily, 6" new snow accumulation, winds NW 15 mph gusting to 25 mph, temperature 22 F, and "feel-like temperature" is "colder than a well-digger's ass in Alaska".

You don't want to be out in this stuff!  We are approaching near whiteout conditions!  It's a scene from "The Shining"!  Two weather spotters, Charlie and Winston, are temporarily lost!  We haven't heard from our spotters in Owensville and Canaan since about 10 a.m.!
